About Informopedia.com
Informopedia.com is a global research and knowledge hub — a place for readers who want to understand a subject completely, not just skim the headlines. Every guide we publish is built to answer a topic in full: the background, the evidence, the numbers, and what remains unknown, so you can leave the page genuinely informed.
This site is not a news outlet. Breaking news and daily reporting live on our sister site, informopedia.net. Informopedia.com is where the deeper work happens: definitive, evergreen guides that stay useful for years.
The two-tier model
Each research topic is covered in two tiers, written for two different readers:
- Tier 1 — Public guides. Written in plain language for the curious general reader. No background knowledge assumed; every technical term is explained as it appears.
- Tier 2 — Expert deep-dives. Written for clinicians, researchers, and postgraduate students. Full molecular detail, methodology critique, complete statistics, and literature tables — with every claim traceable to primary sources.
The two tiers are interlinked, so a general reader can go as deep as curiosity allows, and a specialist can see exactly which public-facing claims the evidence supports.
Our fields
We are launching in phases. Phase 1 covers Medicine, Artificial Intelligence, Travel, and Cuisine — the last two explored through a knowledge-guide lens (food science and food culture, travel as deep destination intelligence). Phase 2 adds Physics, Climate, Technology, Culture, Health (practical wellness), and History.
Medicine guides explain the science of disease and treatment; practical health and wellness content belongs to the Health vertical. Every medicine article carries a clear no-medical-advice disclaimer.
How we work
Our sourcing standard is simple: primary sources only. Every factual claim is tied to a citation — a peer-reviewed paper, an official report, or a primary dataset — with DOI links verified at publication. Our full policy is published on our Editorial Standards page, and when the evidence changes, our archive is corrected in place under our Corrections Policy.
What “complete insight” means
Most web content answers the surface question and leaves you with five more. Our guides are designed to close the loop: the history of the problem, the current state of the evidence, the numbers that matter, what the experts disagree about, and where the field is heading. A reader who finishes one of our guides should not need to open ten more tabs to feel they understand the subject.
That depth takes time. We publish fewer articles than a news site, and each one goes through research, drafting, source verification, and review before it appears. We would rather publish one guide that fully answers a question than five that half-answer it.
